Inauguration of Faro–New York Direct Flight

On June 2, 2025, the first non-stop flight between Faro and New York was inaugurated, connecting Faro Airport to John F. Kennedy Airport without layovers. Operated by Atlantic Wings, this new route allows Algarve passengers to reach Manhattan in just over eight hours. Besides boosting tourism in the region, the service will feature onboard Wi-Fi, personalized entertainment, and dining options inspired by Algarve cuisine. The flight will depart Faro every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, returning from New York on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, offering quick connections to other U.S. cities.
